Low Cinema is a 42-seat neighborhood movie theater that features a wide range of programming: from beloved genre fare and kids' matinees to cult classics and obscure documentaries, a mix of repertory and recent releases.
Ridgewood was once home to many majestic movie theaters like the RKO Madison
, the Parthenon
, and the Ridgewood Theater
, which have all turned into gyms, pharmacies, and discount stores (no shade to gyms, pharmacies, and discount stores). The partners — John Wilson, Davis Fowlkes, and Cosmo Bjorkenheim — share a love for movies as a shared experience and want to help bring this experience back to the neighborhood.
